Mount Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. Entering the Mount Rinjani National Park area and surrounded by forests and shrubs covering an area of ​​76,000 hectares, it is a beautiful sight for Mount Rinjani. Mount Rinjani has a crater with a width of about 10 km and there is a crater lake called Lake Segara Anak with a depth of about 230 m. With the color of the water blue like a child of the ocean, the water flowing from this lake forms a very beautiful waterfall and flows through a steep ravine. Many climbers fish in this lake because there are many goldfish and tilapia.

There are 2 hiking trails to reach Rinjani Peak, namely the Sembalun Trail and the Senaru Trail. The Sembalun route is a favorite route for climbers because although the track is longer, it can save 700 m of altitude. On the Sembalun Trail, climbers will pass through a very wide and beautiful expanse of savanna. There are 3 resting posts on this route, and after post 3 climbers will face a steep incline with a slope of about 60 degrees. While on the Senaru route, climbers will pass through tropical forests which are quite dense and steep. Similar to the Sembalun Line, this route also has 3 rest posts before arriving at the Pelawangan post which is usually used as a camp area.

One of the places that climbers do not miss in climbing Mount Rinjani is Segara Anak Lake. Yes, this beautiful lake can be found after climbing through the two paths above. Around Lake Segara Anak, people usually do several activities such as camping, soaking in warm sulfur water, and also fishing.
